What our students, graduates and staff say
The course was a great balance between design and coding. I was really pleased with how involved the lecturers were in my studies and the smaller class sizes helped to give an almost one-to-one tuition. Between my second and third year studies, I did a summer placement at Hunted Cow Studios as a Game Scenario Designer. I was later offered a full time position as a 3D artist. I hadn’t really thought about being in the games industry but Interactive Media opened my eyes to the variety of avenues you can progress onto.
Natalie Seivwright, BA (Hons) Interactive Media graduate
I like the style of teaching from our lecturers which is relaxed, informal and easy to learn from. We are also given a lot of freedom to develop work in our own studio space.
Dosi Dimchovski, BA (Hons) Fine Art student originally from Bulgaria
The balance of theory and practice - with placements in local primary schools, alongside taught modules in college, with some distance learning - allows students to build up their teaching experience, while undertaking the core learning. There is a strong focus on independent study, with an emphasis on encouraging students to development their own areas of interest and identify their strengths and areas for development, from a very early stage.
